The Bride is the center of attention on one of the biggest days of her life. Be sure to have picture-perfect skin with this 8 week pre-wedding plan. Don’t let oily/acne-prone skin or dry/hyper-pigmentation make you a bridezilla! We can help.
GENERAL TIPS FOR GREAT SKIN:
*Get plenty of sleep (7-8 hours a night)
*Drink enough water to keep your body hydrated
*Ice your skin in a circular motion for 20-30 seconds after you’ve cleansed, morning and night (don’t hold ice in one spot because it can burn, just like heat can). This will help with any inflammation, product penetration and naturally exfoliates the skin.
*Use SPF 30+ daily and re-apply every 2 hours to help prevent dark spots.
*Use an Oil-free moisturizer to prevent clogged pores.
*At the end of the day wash your face twice w/ a foaming cleanser that gets you squeaky clean. (First cleanse is to wash off any make-up and second cleanse is to wash your skin.)
8 WEEKS TO WEDDING DAY:
-Schedule a Full Treatment Clinical Facial. This will allow your CS Medical Esthetician to consult with you about your skincare needs and address any skin concerns or problems you may have. During this hour appointment your CS Medical Esthetician may recommend home-care products or additional treatments based on the goal you are trying to achieve.
4 – 6 WEEKS TO WEDDING DAY:
-A light peel may be recommended. A light peel(14% Lactic & 14% Salicylic acid) may give you some skin sloughing or dryness for a few days. This will help to remove the top layer of skin which will give you brighter-looking skin and help with product penetration.
-Another Full Treatment or Half Treatment (a quick 30 minute appointment focusing on exfoliation and extractions) may be recommended if you are dealing with acne.
10 DAYS – 2 WEEKS TO WEDDING DAY:
-Schedule an Anti-Aging Facial. Not only will the anti-aging facial be beneficial to your skin by polishing and exfoliating with the dermolyse enzyme, it will have a light extraction and will hydrate with our hyaluronic acid moisturizer AND brightening with the Collagen Vitamin C mask. This treatment will also help to relax you with a décolleté/shoulder massage during.
*Please note: Because it is stressful and everything needs to be perfect for your wedding day, we recommend that you DO NOT change any home-care routine or have additional facial treatments (unless recommended by your CS Medical Esthetician) within 10 days of your wedding. Stress is one of the main causes of acne flare-ups and any additional exfoliation may allow for acne to surface. However, if you do have a acne spot that is ready to-go PLEASE make an extraction appointment with your CS Medical Esthetician! DO NOT try to pop it yourself.

Prevention of Premature Aging…YES.
Society has put this pressure on us to look and act a certain way but if you aren’t happy and peaceful on the inside, the outside world won’t make any difference. You’ll find all sorts of Anti-Aging marketing ploys out there but the truth is this: THERE IS NO SUCH THING. You can’t be “against” aging. Getting. Older. Happens.
How many times have you looked at a photo of yourself from 5 years ago and thought, “Dang, I looked great back then!” only to remember that, back then, you didn’t feel that way? It’s likely you’ll do the same thing in another 5 years when you look back at today. Change your mind-set. Right now is the best you’ll ever look- appreciate it!
It’s a lot easier said than done (trust me, I know) but fighting the process of aging is a sad waste of time. I’d rather reassess and embrace the process while using common sense to help prevent PREMATURE aging. It’s all about being healthy: body and mind. I may not have the glow like I did when I was 24, but I stand more confident, have a surer gaze, feel more powerful and am more grounded than I ever have been. That’s a hell of lot more sexy and I’ll take it.
***Call us and we’ll explain what leads to fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, etc. and more importantly, how to slow down the inevitable. Educating yourself will save you time, effort, and money!***
And if you can come up with a less wordy way to say “Prevention of Premature Aging” to describe my treatment, I’m listening ;-p (Photo via HuffingtonPost)
